BLACKWATTLE BAY HOUSE

On the edge of Blackwattle Bay, this two level addition to an existing semi-detached dwelling opens up new living spaces to leafy views of Blackwattle Bay and the city beyond.

Built to accommodate the natural features of the site including a mature tree and the steep fall of the land to the back of the property, the interiors of both floors open out to the balcony and deck to create flexible living spaces.

Timber screening is employed throughout to provide privacy and frame views from the balcony, wrapping back into the interior of the house and echoed in the design of the interior stair and light well.

Streamlined cabinetry and full height sliding doors at lower ground level are able to be opened up to extend the spaciousness of the rooms.
